Victorian Home, Roundhay

Victorian Home, Roundhay

Bold design language with Scandinavian aesthetic

Project Overview:
Our team had the privilege of working on a Victorian home, expertly extended by innovative architects at Grace & Morris. Our aim was to infuse it with the simplicity and functionality of Scandinavian design. The challenge was to cater to the needs of a busy family of five while ensuring every detail exuded elegance and sophistication.

Design Approach:
Every element of this project resonated with a profound respect for Scandinavian design. From the choice of brushed knurled handles to the meticulous chevron oak flooring and detailed wall panelling, our decisions were influenced by a harmonious mix of beauty and functionality. Our goal was to craft an environment where the family could flourish, unwind, and forge lasting memories.

Challenges & Solutions:
The inherent character of the Victorian home presented both challenges and opportunities. Our approach was to embrace its unique features and weave in modern Scandinavian elements. This meticulous integration resulted in a harmonious blend that enhanced the overall ambiance while paying homage to the home’s historical roots.

Outcome:
The transformation was nothing short of spectacular. The final design struck a perfect balance between aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency. Every corner of the home now tells a story – a narrative of thoughtful design, impeccable craftsmanship, and a family’s dream realised.

Client Feedback:
“ From the first consultation, to picking out samples and then seeing our vision come to life with the 3D visuals and VR headset. The House Collective have gone above and beyond to design my forever family home. ”
